🍀🌞🌻FEELINGS🌙🌸🌵

·         What do you think of the video? Do you meditate? Why? Do you feel it works? Why?

I think that the video about the scientific power of meditation is a very useful form of divulgation about how meditation affects our bodies and our brains.

I started doing meditation at the beginning of the year, specifically when I discovered that our university had made an agreement with the App "Calm". At first I had no idea what meditation was, I mean, I had heard about it before, things like: "it's very good" "you feel better" "it's an incredible journey where you begin discover who you are" and that kind of comments. I always though that meditation was a hippie and spiritual thing so I had never take it seriously to be honest.

The reason I started to meditate was because of stress. I’m in a class that teaches us how to deal with the stress that university can cause us sometimes, or perhaps all the time, as is my case. I have some problems dealing with stress, so this alternative was very interesting, not only because I was skeptical at first, but because in our class we were taught how these kinds of alternatives generated a whole chemical and hormonal reaction in our bodies. So, I decided that I had to try it.

I can't say that has changed my whole life yet, because I've been practicing for only a few months. But I would be a liar if I said it doesn't work. Thanks to meditation I feel more relieved, when I feel like I am drowning, I know exactly what I must do to stop feeling like this. I learned to breathe, something very strange to say because we breathe unconsciously all the time, but controlling your breathing and the way you feel that, is a particularly pleasant feeling.

·         How are you feeling these days? Why?

I've been feeling a little confused these days. I have the idea that some of us thought that working or studying from home would be easier. Very ignorant. Online university is much more difficult and invasive than face-to-face classes, at least when I come home after college it's like I was resting from it, now classes invade me even when I go to the bathroom.

I miss my grandparents too, they are my seconds parents and I really miss them, so much. I've been sad about it but they're healthy and that's what matters to me.

·         How do I feel when the English class starts?

I enjoy english, the language. I really like it, I usually study on my own and it's fun to learn about new words and different ways of expressing what I think. But to be honest I don't feel anything when class starts because we’ve never had classes. I hope that this methodology can change because I feel like I'm not learning much of the language and that worries me. I'm sorry
